Sloquet Hot Springs is located in a wooded wilderness, a natural Hot Spring flowing next to a large creek that offers room for many. The water is very hot but further down the spring, the water cools so it offers many stages of heat at different locations of the available pools.
The water flows down Sloquet Creek before dropping from a small waterfall into the natural baths at a temperature of 64 Celsius (147 Fahrenheit).
An Elder’s trail is available to walk back to the campsite, which is accessed from the steps close to the bottom pool near the creek. This trail has signs along the way explaining some of the history and natural environment.
The site is sacred to the Xa’xtsa people and well-liked by many others who regularly visit. Please help keep this area pristine by taking your garbage out with you.
During our visit they were extremely kind and courteous, please treat them and their land with respect!!

Getting There:
Getting to Sloquet Hot Springs requires a 4×4 vehicle with high clearance. Take the Morris Valley Road 74 kms (46 miles) to Tipella before continuing on in-SHUCK-ch Forest Service road another 6.8 kms (4.2 miles) before taking a hard left at the fork in the road, after turning left you will continue until you approach the gate and campground.
Another way is from Duffey Lake Road, drive 80 kms (49.7 miles) down the in-SHUCK-ch Forest Service until you reach a 4-way stop, and continue straight until you approach the gate and campground.
Need Gas:
The community of Tipella at 78.5km (48.7 Miles) on the in-SHUCK-ch FSR, just 2 kms (1.2 miles) past the turnoff to Sloquet, has a gas station selling unleaded and diesel fuels at regular pump prices. They accept cash, debit and credit cards.
Fees:
The fees are cash only and will cost you $10 Cdn for the day or $20 Cdn for a group of 6 Campsite.
The sites are great for tents and rooftop tents. A member of the First Nations will be on-site or visiting to collect fees and check on visitors.
