A hidden cabin located near Norrish Creek, hidden in the woods and welcoming to visitors who respect it. A great place for a day trip and a way to warm up in the winter or get some shade in the summer.
Inside the Cabin is a book you can sign and some pictures on the walls, there is also a list posted inside the cabin of the cabin rules including how to have a BBQ and how to handle other things around the cabin.
The cabin has a few chairs and a table inside, there is also a ladder that goes into the attic where the floor is carpeted and the space is large enough for sleeping. The door also has a lock for some added nighttime security.
Hiking:
Norrish Creek Trail is a 5.1 km (3.2 miles) in-and-out trail considered a moderate hike down the side of Norrish Creek that will take about 1.5 hours to complete. The trail starts on Hawkins Pickle Road, the same area the locals call Suicide Creek.
Getting There:
You can reach the cabin from the old service road, which is mostly overgrown, or you can hike the Norrish Creek Trail from suicide until you reach the area.
The service road is tight and nothing bigger than a side-by-side or ATV will fit.
