This towering high trestle bridge is a great location for a hike and pictures, the old steel beams and Valley backdrop are great opportunities for a rustic viewpoint.
The Ladner Creek Trestle was part of the Kettle Valley Railway that was opened in 1915 to support the growing mining demands in the Southern Interior region of British Columbia. In 1961 portions of the railway stopped being used and were left abandoned, the last service the railway supported was in 1989. (Photo of the Trestle in use)

A fence has now been built to prevent people from crossing the bridge.
Hiking:
This 1.8 km (1.1 Mile) in-and-out hike is considered a moderately challenging trail. The trail is covered in fallen rocks in some areas and near the tunnels the trail has been covered by a rock slide, you can still walk over the rock slide but you should be very careful doing so.
Getting There:
The trail starts in two areas, the first and easy trailhead is at the beginning of the highway off-ramp, and the harder trail has some better parking but is a steep climb up.
